Temperatures in the region will be 5 to 10 degrees below normal on Friday, with gusty winds making it feel even colder throughout the afternoon.
The National Weather Service reports that high temperatures will range from the upper 50s to low 60s, with cooler conditions to the north and slightly warmer temperatures near the coast. Overnight lows will also be quite chilly, with areas along and south of I-10 expected to dip into the low to mid 40s, while temperatures to the north will fall to the mid to upper 30s.
On Saturday, a slight warm-up is expected, with highs reaching the mid 60s for most of the region. A weak upper-level disturbance will bring some clouds and isolated showers over Gulf waters.
Saturday night will bring cooler temperatures once again, with lows in the low to mid 50s for the Houston Metro area and along the coast. Areas to the north, particularly the Piney Woods, may experience lows in the mid to upper 30s.
