Virginia State Police Are Searching For Witnesses To The I-64 Shooting

Virginia State Police are seeking assistance from the public in gathering information regarding a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon along I-64.

At approximately 3:15 pm on January 25th, a man contacted the state police to report his involvement in a shooting incident on the interstate.

According to VSP, initial investigations suggest that the victim was behind the wheel of a blue Kia Stinger sedan, heading west on I-64 near Norview Avenue, when an individual from an unidentified vehicle opened fire on his car.

Virginia State Police established a new Homeland Security Division.

The victim exited the interstate at Chesapeake Boulevard and called police.

The victim is expected to survive, according to the police.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding witnesses who were traveling westbound on I-64 between Norview Avenue and Chesapeake Boulevard on Saturday around 3:15pm.
