DEA Rocky Mountain, along with local law enforcement in Denver, carried out an operation in Colorado on Sunday. The objective of the operation was to target drug traffickers and individuals associated with the Tren de Aragua gang. In the early morning, law enforcement apprehended around 50 illegal aliens involved in these illegal activities.
Federal agents arrested around 50 undocumented immigrants on Sunday as part of an operation aimed at dismantling the networks of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) in Colorado. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Field Division, along with partners from the Denver offices of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), carried out the operation early in the morning. The operation focused on combating drug trafficking and apprehending members of TdA in Adams County, Colorado.
In a predawn operation, federal authorities conducted a raid on a clandestine gathering in Adams County, which they described as a “makeshift nightclub” that operated on an invitation-only basis. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) revealed that the event was attended by numerous individuals associated with the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.
The agency took to X to showcase images of handcuffed illegal immigrants standing in the snow. One post highlighted the confiscation of drugs, weapons, and cash in Adams County, stating that almost 50 illegal aliens were apprehended.
“Drugs, weapons, and cash were seized in Adams County,” one post said. “Nearly 50 illegal aliens were taken into custody.”
The DEA shared a video of the bus that was used to transport the nearly 50 illegal immigrants from the scene. According to the DEA, a significant number of those detained are affiliated with the TdA gang from Venezuela, although they did not provide further details.
President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, is currently leading the way in implementing a mass deportation strategy. The primary focus of this strategy is to first target and apprehend criminal illegal immigrants nationwide.
ICE raids have taken place in various locations across the United States since Trump assumed office. These raids have been reported in Colorado, New York City, Buffalo, N.Y., Boston, California, and Minnesota. As a result, numerous illegal immigrants have been detained during these operations.
