Rain and snow chances across Arizona this weekend

PHOENIX — This evening, our next fall storm will move into Arizona, bringing a wintry mix to northern Arizona and a slight chance for scattered showers in the Valley.

We are monitoring cooler air, breezy winds, and the potential for rain and snow across the state from late Saturday through early Monday.

Temperatures will dip to the mid-70s in the Valley on Sunday.

Chances of rain and snow across Arizona

Rain chances will start this evening and increase during the overnight hours.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible, with parts of the Valley receiving up to a tenth of an inch of rain throughout Sunday.

In the high country, snow levels will begin at around 9,000 feet Saturday night and will lower to 5,500 feet by Sunday morning, continuing through Monday morning. Flagstaff could see one to two inches of snow by early Monday morning.

We should dry out just in time for Election Day, but another storm system is expected to affect the state toward the middle of next week.

Stay tuned for updates as we approach that time.
