Multiple Arrests Made In Rhode Island For DUI And Drug Possession And No-contact Order Violations

Rhode Island State Police have reported a series of arrests made by State Troopers on January 24 and 25. These arrests were a result of motor vehicle stops and led to charges for DUI, drug possession, and violations of no-contact orders.

At 10:30 a.m. on the morning of January 24th, Troopers apprehended Melinda Valeriani, a 50-year-old resident of North Smithfield. The arrest was made on the grounds of a warrant issued by the North Kingstown Police Department, specifically for a violation of a domestic violence-related no-contact order.

Valeriani was arrested on Route 146 in Lincoln and subsequently processed before being handed over to the North Kingstown authorities.

At 8:43 p.m. on the same evening, David Law, a 39-year-old resident of Cranston, was apprehended in Pawtucket. He faced several charges, including driving under the influence of drugs, refusal to undergo a chemical test, and driving with a suspended license.

Law spent the night at the Lincoln Woods Barracks while awaiting arraignment for violating bail.

Claribel Fernandez, 52, from Providence, and Necole Nardolillo, 31, from West Warwick, were both apprehended by Troopers on the same night, within minutes of each other. Fernandez was arrested at 10:51 p.m., followed by Nardolillo at 10:32 p.m.

Fernandez was charged with driving with a suspended license and was held for arraignment. Meanwhile, Nardolillo faced drug possession charges for Xanax and crack cocaine after a stop in Providence.

Nardolillo was released from custody and given a summons to appear in court.

Marcus Harris, a 42-year-old resident of Warwick, was taken into custody at 10:40 p.m. on January 24th. The arrest was made in Providence due to a violation of a no-contact order.

After being processed, Harris was transferred to the Pawtucket Police Department.

At 3:20 a.m. on January 25th, Christiana Derosier, a 45-year-old resident of Providence, was arrested for possession of ecstasy during a traffic stop on Route 146.

Derosier underwent processing and was released with a notice to appear in court.
