S.C. Corrections issued arrest warrants for 5 inmates in separate January cases

The arrest warrants for five inmates involved in separate cases last month were released by the South Carolina Department of Corrections on Wednesday.

Daniel Jermaine Reed, a 26-year-old resident of Ridgeville, is facing charges of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Chrysti Shain, a spokesperson for the Department of Corrections.

On October 7, 2024, Devin and Reed Javonne Wilson, who were inmates in the same housing unit at Lieber Correctional Institute, engaged in a significant altercation involving weapons.

Oscean Naqua Isai Goodlett, 29, faces charges for trafficking methamphetamines weighing 100 grams or more and for possession of contraband while being a prisoner. These charges stem from the discovery of meth, a red iPhone, a USB cable, a blue charger connector, and a JBL earbud case with a headphone piece in his cell at McCormick Correctional Institute on August 20, 2024.

Ernest Thomas Singleton, 30, faces charges of second-degree assault and battery for allegedly assaulting his cellmate at Evans Correctional Institute on January 25, 2024.

Singleton’s roommate was assaulted, resulting in the need for medical attention. The victim suffered a left orbital fracture and multiple contusions, which required treatment at an external medical facility.

Donta Malik Dowe, a 26-year-old, is facing charges of assault and battery by mob to the second degree for his alleged involvement in the assault and intimidation of a fellow inmate at Trenton Correctional Institute on June 19, 2021.

Travis Deneile Robinson, a 35-year-old individual, is facing charges related to the possession of cocaine with the intention to distribute, possession of methamphetamines, and possession of contraband while being a prisoner. These charges stem from the discovery of cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine in his cell at Lee Correctional Institute on July 19, 2023.

According to the affidavit, Robinson has previous convictions related to marijuana.

When a person who is already in prison is accused of a crime, they must be given a warrant and be granted a bond hearing. These bond hearings take place once a month at the South Carolina Detention Center.
