Man Killed in Late-Night Shooting at Colorado Springs Apartment Complex
Colorado Springs, CO — One man is dead following a late-night shooting at the Summit Creek Apartments, which police say stemmed from an argument between two individuals.
Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the apartment complex on Chelton Road, near South Academy Boulevard, at 10:38 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, in response to reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police discovered a man lying on the ground with at least one gunshot wound. Despite officers administering life-saving measures, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the initial investigation, the altercation began as an argument between two individuals who were acquainted.
Homicide detectives are now working to identify the suspect and determine their whereabouts. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced.
