Lake Havasu City, AZ — James Krantz, 46, of Lake Havasu City, was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday following a plea agreement for possession of narcotic drugs for sale. Judge Billy Sipe issued the sentence at the Mohave County Law and Justice Center in Kingman, adhering to the terms of the agreement.
Krantz’s case began with a September 19 traffic stop on McCulloch Boulevard, during which a K-9 unit detected illegal substances in his vehicle. Officers found approximately 11,000 fentanyl pills hidden under the driver’s seat in a glass jar. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Rod Albright highlighted the “very large amount of fentanyl pills” as a significant factor in the case.
Additional charges related to methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
