Multiple police departments were involved in a series of car thefts at a Woodhaven shipping yard. The stolen vehicles were four 2025 Ford F-150 trucks. As a result, intense police chases took place in various cities including Wyandotte, Ecorse, Lincoln Park, River Rouge, and Detroit.

WXYZ reported that the Woodhaven police were the initial responders at the shipping yard, with officers from neighboring areas joining in the search for the stolen trucks.

An officer noticed a Ford F-150 Raptor driving at a high speed and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Consequently, a pursuit ensued, lasting for a distance of 13 miles, until the suspect ultimately crashed in Detroit.

One of the suspects was caught driving at a reckless speed of 80 mph on residential roads, dangerously swerving in and out of traffic. This pursuit resulted in one police inspector being injured. Eventually, all the trucks involved were recovered, but only one of the drivers has been apprehended and is currently in custody.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the incident endangered the lives of both police officers and civilians. The fate of the other suspects remains uncertain, and an ongoing investigation is underway.

According to a Ford spokesperson, the company is currently collaborating with local law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. As of now, they are unable to disclose any further details.

According to Police Chief Archie Hamilton, the suspect was given a valuable lesson. It is hoped that he will share this lesson with his friends and that everyone in the Wayne County Jail will learn that the police are here to stay.
