Decreasing temperatures and strong winds

It’s a chilly and windy day as a cold front moves through Eastern Iowa early.

Your First Alert: Windy & Colder

We may experience a few stray flurries or raindrops during the late morning and afternoon, accompanied by gusty winds and cooler temperatures.

Temps Getting Colder

Cold air will move into the region on Monday, causing temperatures to drop into the 30s by the afternoon. As the night progresses, skies will clear up and winds will weaken, leading to even lower temperatures.

Overnight lows are expected to reach the upper teens and low 20s. Tuesday will bring cold and dry conditions, with partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.

An Active Pattern

There is a possibility of snow showers on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, as well as on Wednesday night and Thursday. Although any snowfall or effects are expected to be minimal or non-existent, it is advisable to stay updated for any changes.

Additionally, brace yourself for another surge of arctic air just in time for Black Friday, as we can expect cold temperatures throughout the holiday weekend.
