A dead woman was found aboard a New York City subway car Saturday, police said.
At around 1:43 p.m., officers received a 911 call to assist a girl aboard a northbound F train at the Jamaica-179th Street stop. They responded and discovered an unconscious and unresponsive woman.
Emergency medical services were contacted, and the woman was pronounced dead on the site.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York will determine the cause of death. Police sources stated that there were no signs of trauma.
There have been no arrests, and the investigation is still ongoing.
The discovery of the dead body comes a day before Gov. Kathy Hochul’s order that police officers ride every nightly train in New York City.
