According to the Martinsville Police Department, two individuals have been charged following a drug bust that took place on Tuesday in Martinsville, Virginia.
The Martinsville SWAT Team carried out search warrants at an apartment on Rives Road, while the Henry County SWAT team executed a search warrant on Spruce Street. Police report that two men residing in the apartments were collaborating in the unlawful distribution of cocaine.
The police seized 1.3 kilos of cocaine, along with three firearms and over $6,000 cash, from the apartments.
Samuel Hairston, a 37-year-old individual, has been taken into custody and is facing several charges. These include possession of cocaine with the intention to distribute, which marks his second offense, as well as possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics. Additionally, Hairston is charged with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Christopher Orlando Martin, aged 35, is facing charges of possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute, marking his third offense. Authorities are actively searching for Martin, and an arrest warrant has already been issued.
