A tragic incident occurred in Johnson County, Tennessee this morning, resulting in the loss of a man’s life due to a rollover accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:12 a.m. on Interstate 80, near mile marker 245. Jeremy Rogers, a 25-year-old resident of Nashville, was traveling eastbound in a 2021 Volvo semi when he veered off the road for reasons that are still unknown. The semi collided with a bridge guardrail before flipping over onto its driver’s side in the nearby ditch.
The Iowa State Patrol received assistance from various agencies during the incident, including the Iowa City Police Department, Iowa City Fire Department, Iowa DOT, and the Johnson County Medical Examiner.
