22 Migrants Discovered In Alleged Stash House In El Paso

U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered 22 migrants harbored at a household in El Paso last week, according to Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens on social media.

Owens stated that on December 16, agents discovered the migrants in “poor conditions” at an El Paso apartment. Owens referred to the residence as a “stash house” in his tweet.

Information about the home’s “possible use for illicit activity” prompted agents to respond, according to Owens.

Owens reports that all individuals are in excellent health and will undergo removal procedures.

Owens would not indicate where the purported stash house was located.

“Reporting suspicious activity not only keeps our communities safe but can also lead to the rescue of migrants suffering at the hands of dangerous smugglers,” Owens said.
