Winter Storm Disrupts Thanksgiving Travel in Northeast
A winter storm is currently impacting the U.S. Northeast, bringing rain and snow to the region and disrupting Thanksgiving travel plans for millions.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued winter storm warnings and watches for parts of New England, where moderate to heavy snowfall is expected. The Upper Great Lakes region is also anticipating significant rainfall, with some areas potentially receiving four to eight inches.
Despite the inclement weather, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City went on as scheduled. The parade featured floats, balloons, marching bands, and performances.
As millions of Americans travel for the holiday, the NWS is urging travelers to check the latest weather conditions and road closures before embarking on their journeys.
