A man from West Virginia has been arrested after a routine traffic stop in Martins Ferry, Ohio. During the stop, a substantial amount of narcotics was found.
On February 8, Officer Barrett from the Martins Ferry Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had committed multiple traffic violations.
Officer Barrett noticed several suspicious behaviors among the occupants when he pulled over the car.
Officer Carpenter discovered drugs in the vehicle during a thorough search, prompted by the occupants’ confession about their presence.
During the search, officers discovered a considerable quantity of drug paraphernalia, including 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, 12 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 10 pills believed to be amphetamines.
Kenneth Ward, a resident of West Virginia, is currently under police custody. He is facing multiple charges, the details of which have not been disclosed at this time.
