Vandalism Shock: Mountain View High Targeted in Overnight Burglary

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is currently searching for a suspect involved in a recent burglary at Mountain View High School during the night.

According to a news release from the department, the PCSD was informed about a case of forced entry and vandalism at Mountain View, located within the Marana Unified School District.

Maintenance crews made a disheartening discovery at 5:30 a.m. as they stumbled upon vandalism and theft. Windows, doors, and computer monitors were broken by the suspect(s).

Someone wrote a racist slur on the whiteboard in one of the classrooms. According to the news release, the surveillance video managed to capture the image of at least one suspect.

The suspect went unnoticed by anyone on the faculty or staff at Mountain View.
