US Marshals apprehend Mississippi murder suspect in Memphis

A man who was wanted for murder in Mississippi was detained in Memphis by the U.S. Marshals Service, reports say.

Tony Lott, 18, is accused of shooting Jerrian King on October 25 in Greeneville, Mississippi.

Five days after the fatal shooting, the US Marshals issued a murder warrant for Lott. The USMS Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Mississippi then took up the case.

According to reports, the Gulf Coast Regional Task Force discovered that Lott was in the Memphis region and passed over the investigation to the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Memphis.

We discovered Lott at an apartment in Memphis’ 3000 block of East Point Cove on December 5. We arrested him and are currently awaiting his extradition to Mississippi.
