Truck collides with Arizona teenager

The teenager was flown to Banner Desert Hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, a teenager is currently hospitalized after being struck by a truck in San Tan Valley early Wednesday morning.

A teenage boy, aged 16, was struck by a vehicle in the early morning hours at approximately 6:30 a.m. The incident occurred near Johnson Ranch Boulevard and Saddle Way, according to the Rural Metro Fire Department.

The teenager was transported by air to Banner Desert Hospital to receive medical treatment. Unfortunately, there is no current information regarding his condition.

According to the sheriff’s Office, he got hit while crossing the street near East Saddle Way, close to a crosswalk.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver of the Ford Ranger involved in the collision remained at the scene following the accident.

The sheriff’s office stated that they have not found any signs of impairment, but they are continuing their investigation.
