Colorado Springs Police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary involving four suspects who crashed a stolen car into a business before stealing merchandise. Officers from the Falcon Division responded to the incident at Extreme Vape Shop just before 3 a.m. on December 3, 2024.
According to police, surveillance footage captured the stolen car ramming the front of the building twice before the suspects gained access. Once inside, four individuals dressed in dark clothing and wearing possible face coverings stole an “undetermined amount” of merchandise.
Authorities revealed the car used in the burglary was an “unreported steal,” meaning it had been stolen but not yet reported missing by its owner.
This incident marks at least the 40th smash-and-grab targeting businesses in Colorado Springs since the beginning of 2024, highlighting a growing trend of such crimes in the area. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify and locate the suspects.
