The Indiana Department of Natural Resources reported that they found the body of a missing 22-year-old southern Indiana man in the Ohio River on Saturday.
According to an Indiana DNR announcement, divers discovered Hunter Conner’s body from the Ohio River around 5:10 p.m. central time on January 19.
On January 17, authorities last spotted Conner in the water about a mile east of the Grandview Boat Ramp. Grandview is about 37 miles east of Evansville. He was apparently hunting waterfowl when his kayak overturned while attempting to retrieve a duck.
The search for Conner lasted around two days. The DNR is still investigating the event.
Indiana Conservation Officers strongly urge wearing life jackets whenever participating in water-related activities.
