Tennessee Man Apprehended In Western Kentucky On Drug Charges

A man wanted in Tennessee was apprehended in Kentucky on drug-related charges.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Friday, January 17, around 6:15 a.m., deputies encountered an individual at the Hazel Post Office who had an active arrest warrant from Tennessee.

Claude D. Brelsford, a 24-year-old resident of Puryear, Tennessee, was identified as the man in question. Upon apprehension, authorities discovered that Brelsford was in possession of illegal substances.

In 2018, he was convicted of the same offense.

Brelsford faced arrest and was held at the Calloway County Detention Facility.

He faced charges for possessing a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia. Additionally, he was considered a fugitive from another state due to an active warrant from Tennessee.
