Teen Taken Into Custody Following Girl Is Found Shot In Crashed Dallas Car

A teenager has been charged following the discovery of a girl who was shot in a car crash in Dallas.

A teenage girl was shot in a car in Dallas, resulting in the arrest of a 17-year-old.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported that the shooting occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Monday in a parking lot near the intersection of Timberglen Road and Justice Lane.

Frank Pachecho, a 17-year-old suspect, reportedly attempted to transport the victim to the hospital but unfortunately crashed on Dallas Parkway near Trinity Mills Road.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered 15-year-old Keysi Delgado suffering from a gunshot wound to her stomach.

Sadly, she was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

According to a recently released arrest warrant affidavit, three teenagers were present in the vehicle during the shooting.

The investigators conducted an interview with the third teenager to ascertain the details of the incident.

While hanging out in a parking lot, the witness recounted that Pachecho started playing around with a handgun, as stated by them.

Pacheco accidentally fired the gun while he was turning around to confront Delgado, who was seated in the backseat.

“The suspect admitted to playing with the gun and that the gun went off accidentally but stated that he gave the gun to [Delgado], and it went off when she tried to give it back. The witness in the vehicle stated that he never saw the suspect give [Delgado] the handgun and did personally observe the gun in the suspect’s hand when it was fired,” the affidavit states.

Pachecho and the witness wasted no time when they noticed that Delgado had been struck. They immediately rushed towards the hospital in their vehicle.

Pachecho unfortunately lost control of the vehicle while en route to the hospital and collided with a solid concrete wall.

According to investigators, he attempted to conceal the firearm prior to the arrival of the officers. However, they later discovered and retrieved it.

Pachecho is currently facing charges for manslaughter.

The authorities have not yet released his mugshot.
