A tragic incident unfolded in Munford, Tennessee, as a teacher was discovered lifeless in a classroom on Thursday morning. The shocking discovery led to the immediate closure of the school for the day.
The Munford Police Department was called to Munford High School in response to an “emergency situation” right before the school day began.
The police confirmed that there were no signs of any foul play and reassured everyone that all students were safe.
“We want to reassure parents, students, and the community that there is no ongoing threat,” stated a post on Facebook.
According to Rebekah Byrd, Assistant Superintendent of Tipton County Schools, the death was an “isolated incident.”
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation.
