Suspect in Utah rape case located and apprehended in Kansas City

A man sought for a rape case in Utah was located and apprehended in Kansas City, Missouri, this past weekend.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Dec. 13, disclosed that authorities in Kansas City have located and apprehended Robert A. Stringham, 36. Stringham, who was wanted for a sexual assault in Utah, was found and arrested.

According to an extradition waiver, Stringham was charged with rape in the Salt Lake County, Utah, District Court. The waiver was signed by Stringham and the Honorable Judge Travis Willingham, who ordered the extradition.

Stringham is still in custody in Missouri on a hold for the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office. There is currently no bond listed, and no additional information has been made available.
