A suspect has been arrested during a stolen vehicle pursuit that spanned several counties and culminated with spike strips in Grundy County.

What we know: The incident occurred at 11:48 p.m. on Thursday on I-94 southbound at 35th Street.
An Illinois State Police trooper patrolling the region discovered a Nissan vehicle that had been reported stolen in Nashville, Tennessee.
The trooper tried to stop the Nissan, but the driver fled. The policeman did not pursue the vehicle, but a police aircraft tracked it as it traveled south on Interstate 55 through DuPage, Will, and Grundy counties.
Grundy County officers used spike strips to stop the Nissan on Good Farm Road in Dwight. The driver was brought into custody.
Driver Arrested, Charged : According to state police, the unidentified motorist is charged with aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, and a variety of other traffic violations.
