Southeast Iowa Man Arrested for Theft

A 53-year-old Keokuk man, Michael Meyers, has been arrested and charged with second-degree theft.

According to court documents, Meyers was given permission to withdraw approximately $300 from a victim’s debit card. However, he allegedly exceeded this amount, withdrawing a total of $2,463.17 through multiple ATM and point-of-sale transactions.

A warrant was issued for Meyers’ arrest on November 18th, and he was taken into custody on November 25th. He is currently being held at the Wapello County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
