Snowfall Begins Tonight and Continues Until Wednesday

A Winter Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Warning will remain in effect until 5AM Thursday. Expect a chilly night ahead with temperatures dropping into the teens, 20s, and 30s throughout the region.

The snow, which is currently concentrated in the high country region, will gradually move eastward towards the I-25 and expand further towards the eastern plains by late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, there will be a mix of snow and rain/snow in Southern Colorado, which may affect your travel plans. In Colorado Springs, we can expect a snowfall of 2-5 inches. The snow and rain/snow mix will taper off by Wednesday night. The temperatures will range from the 30s to 40s across Southern Colorado.

If you plan on traveling early for Thanksgiving, it is important to drive cautiously due to the cold weather, which can create slippery conditions on the roads, especially if they haven’t been treated recently.

The temperatures will be chilly, with highs ranging from the 30s to 40s. If you’re participating in a turkey trot, make sure to bundle up and dress warmly, as it will be very cold outside. Fortunately, the skies will be sunny during this time.

Expect dry and sunny conditions on Friday. However, if you plan to go shopping, remember to dress warmly as temperatures will only rise slightly into the 40s in Southern Colorado.

The weather for your post holiday weekend will be chilly and dry, with temperatures staying in the 40s. You can expect clear skies and plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend.
