Serious Health Risk Associated with Recalled Snacks Sold in Arizona

Certain consumers in Arizona may be at risk of experiencing a “serious” health issue due to the recall of various popular snacks.

Cal Yee Farm LLC has recalled several products as they may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6, and almonds. This poses a potential risk for individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities, as it could lead to a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. The recall notice was issued by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

The products that have been recalled include a variety of snacks such as “Tropical Trail Mix,” “Butter Toffee Almonds” (sold under the Cal Yee’s or Boa Vista Orchards brands), “Mango with Chili,” “Hot Cajun Sesame Sticks,” “New Orleans Hot Mix,” “Fruit Basket 2909,” and “Fruit Basket 2921.” Additionally, the recall also extends to the “chocolate and yogurt covered products,” which include “dark chocolate walnuts,” “dark chocolate raisins,” “dark chocolate almonds,” “yogurt coated almonds,” and “dark chocolate apricots” (sold under the Cal Yee’s or Cal Yee Farm brands).

The FDA website provides a complete list of affected products, UPC codes, and specific allergens. The products were distributed in California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Consumers who have an allergy are advised to either dispose of the products or return them for a complete refund. At the time of the recall, there have been no reported cases of illnesses.
