The Maryland State Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday night in Frederick County as Ryan Baldwin of Walkersville. Baldwin, an 18-year-old motorcyclist, tragically lost his life in the accident.
A tragic incident unfolded around 10 p.m. on January 18th, in the 11000 block of Woodsboro Creagerstown Road. State troopers received a distressing report of a collision involving a pedestrian.
Baldwin lost control of his motorcycle while traveling eastbound, leading him to collide with a guardrail and be struck by a Mitsubishi. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Fortunately, the driver of the Mitsubishi remained unharmed and cooperated with the police investigation.
After the tragic accident, several members of the community shared heartfelt tributes to the 18-year-old, lovingly referred to as “Waffle.”
