Alabama residents may be taken aback by recent statements from Royce Reed, the former Basketball Wives star and mother of one of Dwight Howard’s children. In a video posted online, Royce suggested that the well-known NBA star and celebrity might have had a connection to the tragic death of megachurch pastor Zachary Tims.
Royce claims she has “screenshots” that allegedly show Dwight with Pastor Tims shortly before his sudden death. She has even hinted that she may release these screenshots, stirring further speculation about the nature of their relationship.
For context, Pastor Tims was found dead in 2012 at a luxury hotel in Times Square. Reports later determined his death to be accidental, caused by “acute intoxication from the combined effects of cocaine and heroin.” Authorities discovered a white glassine envelope containing a narcotic substance in his clothing.
Though the circumstances of Tims’ death were considered resolved for years, Royce’s claims have brought the story back into the spotlight. Whether her evidence will offer new insights into the case remains to be seen.
