Late Sunday, police were investigating a hit-and-run in which a man jumped in front of a car in the Southwest Side’s Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
Sunay, a 36-year-old woman, and a 32-year-old man were fighting about 4:50 a.m. on 60th Street near Rockwell Street when the man refused to get into their car.
According to authorities, the woman attempted to drive away when the man jumped in front of her car. Authorities sent him to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he received severe stomach injuries.
The woman drove away, but police quickly apprehended her.
Detectives from the Wentworth Area are looking into the incident.
