A 26-year-old woman was shot twice and then slammed into a parked car in Philadelphia’s West Mount Airy neighborhood in what police are calling a domestic disturbance.
It occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday in the 300 block of West Upsal Street.
According to police, the woman was in her car when her ex-boyfriend drew up beside her and allegedly started a fire.
She drove away, colliding into a parked car, causing her vehicle to overturn.
Following the incident, the Jaws of Life rescued the woman, who is likely to be fine.
Police are looking for the 39-year-old man responsible. The authorities have not yet revealed his name.
Officers had rushed to the neighborhood about two hours earlier for a domestic disturbance between the two.
