Two teenage boys were taken into custody in Chicago on Wednesday morning for allegedly robbing three men at gunpoint and being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, are currently being charged with several felony charges.
We have gathered the following information: The Chicago police apprehended the teenagers on Thursday at 3:14 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Monroe Street.
According to investigators, the boys were identified as the suspects in an armed robbery that took place approximately 30 minutes prior in the 2800 block of West 59th Street.
Three men, aged 27 and 39, informed the police that their belongings were forcibly taken by the suspects, who were armed.
In addition, authorities discovered that the teenagers were in possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been reported missing the previous day in the 6000 block of South Campbell Avenue.
Charges
The suspect, who is only 15 years old, has been charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, one count of possessing a stolen vehicle, and one count of aggravated fleeing from the police.
The 17-year-old is being charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm and one count of possessing a stolen vehicle.
