A Phoenix man is recovering after being shot in the face during a road rage incident on November 2, and he is now seeking justice. Louis Ayala was driving home near Indian School Road and 28th Street when he witnessed what appeared to be two men trying to force a woman into a car.
Concerned, he honked his horn to bring attention to the situation.
As he drove away, Ayala was shot in the face, with the bullet impacting the right side of his head. He didn’t initially realize he had been shot until he began spitting blood.
Phoenix Police later found Ayala near 27th Street and Turney Avenue,, about a third of a mile from the scene. He was rushed to the hospital for reconstructive surgery.
Ayala’s family is calling for justice to prevent similar incidents in the future. Phoenix Police are still investigating, and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is urged to contact Phoenix Police at 1-800-343-TIPS.
The family has also launched a  GoFundMe to assist with medical expenses.
