A Racetrax player from Owings Mills, Maryland, has won a whopping $75,227, and he plans to use his winnings for the benefit of his 10 grandchildren.
The lucky winner, a Maryland Lottery enthusiast, cashed in his winnings on January 13th at the Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. His prize came from a successful Superfecta bet. To commemorate his victory, he intends to treat his grandchildren to a fun-filled weekend at an indoor waterpark and resort in Perryville.
“I’ve got 10 grandbabies. That’s a lot of grandbabies,” he said, recalling a past trip to Great Wolf Lodge where he admitted, “I think I had more fun than they did!”
The champion placed a $1 Superfecta wager on horses 12, 7, 2, and 11 for 10 races. In the initial race, the horses crossed the finish line in the exact order, resulting in a successful outcome and a payout for the winner.
In his quest for a big win, he remains dedicated to playing various Lottery games, including Pick 5, with the ultimate goal of securing the coveted $250,000 top prize.
