A fire in Davenport was reported by a neighbor while the residents were away from home.
Crews swiftly responded to a report from a neighbor about a structure fire in the 1200 block of West 17th Street around 1 p.m., as stated in a media release.
Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy smoke emanating from the front door of a two-story home.
According to the crews on the scene, they were able to bring the fire under control within a span of approximately 10 minutes. Fortunately, a thorough search confirmed that no one was present inside the house at the time of the incident.
