Missouri man arrested for trying to attack the White House with a U-Haul truck
A 20-year-old individual named Sai Varshith Kandula from Saint Louis could potentially spend up to eight years in federal prison for his unsuccessful endeavor to attack the White House using a rented U-Haul truck.
Kandula reportedly boarded a one-way flight from Saint Louis to the Dulles International Airport. He then proceeded to rent a box truck and drove to Washington D.C., as stated in the police reports.
According to a report by Fox News, the driver drove onto the sidewalk while pedestrians hastily moved out of harm’s way. Kandula collided with protective barriers, then reversed, and ultimately collided with the metal barriers a second time. The resulting damage required $4,322 for repairs.
After weeks of careful planning, the police officers and members of the Secret Service apprehended him as he attempted to wave the flag around.
Kandula attempted to disguise himself as different drivers and made multiple efforts to gain access to vehicles and armed security guards. He also made unsuccessful attempts at renting several large semi-trucks and dump trucks. Eventually, Kandula pleaded guilty to the charge of willful injury or depredation of property of the United States.
In a shocking revelation, he openly confessed his desire to seize power and overthrow the democratically elected government, replacing it with a dictatorial regime inspired by the ideology of Nazi Germany.
