A man from Mississippi has been handed a 20-year prison sentence following his conviction on Thursday for the murder of his ex-wife’s boyfriend in Alabama.
A jury in Jackson County, Mississippi, found Michael Holder guilty of capital murder and aggravated assault in connection with the 2023 killing of 22-year-old Logan Wainwright, as reported by WKRG.
According to Fox 10, Wainwright, a resident of Mount Vernon in Mobile County and a youth coach in Citronelle, was shot multiple times by Holder while sitting in his car in Greene County, Mississippi in January 2023.
According to WKRG, the case was transferred from Greene County to Jackson County due to a mistrial and because Wainwright had a high level of familiarity in Greene County.
