An 18-year-old man, who had been reported missing from Chicago’s far south suburbs, was tragically discovered dead in Will County on Sunday afternoon.

Here’s what we understand: The Will County Sheriff’s Office stated Monday that Samuel N. Green was discovered dead in a wooded area near the teen’s house in the 23800 block of South Plum Valley in Crete.

Green was last spotted at 1:40 p.m. on February 6 on a Ring doorbell video near his house.

Will County deputies, along with additional officers, drones, and K-9s, scoured the home and adjacent areas in the days leading up to his discovery.

The Will County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy and disclose the cause of death.

According to authorities, Green suffered from schizophrenia, paranoia, and other mental health concerns.
