A Mexican man who has been deported three times from the United States was arrested again this week in Indianapolis.
Diego Escobar, 29, has been charged in federal court with trafficking methamphetamine. A drug deal inside a Little Caesars in Indianapolis caught him off guard. It marked the end of a months-long investigation by IMPD and the DEA.
He had approximately 50 grams of meth on him when he was detained.
According to the DEA, Escobar faces deportation for the fourth time since he is being held in Marion County Jail on a detainer issued by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
He was previously arrested in Indianapolis in 2022, and twice in Boone County between 2020 and 2022. All three arrests involved unlawful firearms and narcotics accusations.
