Man Punches Chicago Resident And Steals $23k

A Chicago resident was approached from behind by a man as they exited a business on the 6100 block of North Avenue at 1:17 p.m. on February 10. The victim was allegedly punched to the ground by the man, who then proceeded to steal a bag containing money before fleeing the scene. The estimated loss from the incident amounts to $23,761.

Burglary

On February 11th, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., an unidentified person forcefully entered a Natola Concrete Inc. 2020 Nissan 3500V parked on the 500 block of Garfield Street. They made off with a gas-powered saw. In addition, the individual broke into a 2016 Ford F350 and took another gas-powered saw along with two hammer drills. The estimated cost of the stolen items and damages amounts to $7,900.

Catalytic Converter Theft

On February 8th, between 11 a.m. and noon, an individual stole the catalytic converter from a Oak Park resident’s 2013 Toyota Prius, which was parked on the 0 – 100 block of Lake Street. The estimated value of the stolen item is $2,900.

Arrest

A young man from Chicago, aged 18, was taken into custody at 12:31 p.m. on February 10th at 201 Madison St. The reason behind the arrest was his involvement in criminal trespass to property.
