More details on the Border Patrol agent assault
On Sunday, a Border Patrol agent received a report about migrants in the vicinity of Vamori, a town located southwest of Tucson. When the agent arrived at the scene, Tejada-Calleja was discovered hiding beneath a tree. However, upon spotting the agent, he swiftly fled down a wash.
During the pursuit, Tejada-Calleja and another individual were discovered seeking refuge under a different tree. While the Border Patrol agent was trying to request assistance through his radio, Tejada-Calleja purportedly made an attempt to grab the agent’s gun and radio.
Tejada-Calleja seized the agent in a tight embrace, bringing him down to the ground. Subsequently, Tejada-Calleja and his accomplice swiftly escaped the scene, only to be apprehended later and placed under arrest.
