A resident of Phoenix was arrested in Ridgecrest for allegedly installing a device to steal approximately 500 gallons of diesel fuel. According to the police, he had already been booked for similar charges in Los Angeles County just a week before.
On Christmas Eve morning, around 12:35 a.m., the Ridgecrest Police Department received a call about a suspicious box truck that had been parked at Flyers Gas Station on North China Lake Boulevard for several hours.
Upon arrival, the officers engaged in a conversation with Noel Perez Delgado, a 42-year-old resident of Phoenix, Arizona.
During their investigation, the police discovered that Perez Delgado had installed a device into the gas pump, which enabled him to pump fuel without making any payment.
The authorities discovered substantial gas tanks in the rear of the box truck, housing approximately 500 gallons of pilfered diesel fuel.
Perez Delgado found himself in handcuffs when he was apprehended for committing grand theft and a series of associated offenses.
Afterwards, he was taken into custody and placed in the Kern County jail located in Mojave.
Authorities confiscated the box truck as evidence.
