Man Apprehends After Tossing Bag Of Guns, Ammo And Money Out Window During Eviction: Sheriff

In Cook County, Illinois, law enforcement officials arrested a 19-year-old man while carrying out a court-ordered eviction. The arrest was made after the authorities discovered that he had thrown a bag out of a window. The bag contained prohibited firearms, ammunition, and a significant amount of cash.

Brian Smith was arrested by deputies for being in possession of illegal handguns, ammunition, and magazines without a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification card (FOID) or concealed carry license, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

When deputies arrived at Smith’s home for the eviction, he locked himself in a bedroom and proceeded to throw a bag out of the window. The bag contained firearms and $700 in cash.

Smith was arrested and charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
