Man Apprehended In Connection With Rockville Double Homicide

A man named Kaloyan Dimov Stoev, 25, has been arrested by Montgomery County police in GAITHERSBURG, Md. for his alleged involvement in the tragic shooting deaths of two Rockville residents on Friday morning.

According to authorities, a 1st District officer located the first victim, 26-year-old Marcell Jordan Hebron, inside a white BMW with apparent bullet holes near Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard approximately 3:16 a.m. Hebron was pronounced dead on the scene.

Around 7:40 a.m., officers made a distressing discovery in the parking lot of 2 Research Court. They came across another victim, a 27-year-old named Leilani Marroquin. It was evident that Marroquin had suffered gunshot wounds, and nearby, police found shell casings. This was a grim development in the ongoing investigation.

The authorities have connected the two murders and have identified Stoev as a suspect. According to the police, Stoev was apprehended in Rockville around noon on Friday, and during the arrest, law enforcement recovered two firearms.

Stoev, whose current whereabouts remain unknown, is facing charges of two counts of first-degree murder as well as multiple offenses related to the use of a handgun. He is currently being held without the option of posting bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
