Kentucky Man Killed In Crash Following Falling Tree Lands On His Pick-up Truck

A Kentucky man died in a wreck after a tree fell onto his pickup truck, according to Kentucky State Police.

The accident occurred at 1:14 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 60 near Fleming Fork in Carter County. According to KSP, 38-year-old Daniel Stone was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when a tree crashed onto the truck.

Following his ejection from the truck, the Carter County Coroner’s Office declared Stone dead on the spot, according to KSP. He was the only person in the truck.

KSP is investigating the accident.

One of Stone’s children is using GoFundMe to raise funds for his funeral. As of Friday morning, the account has raised more than $200, with a goal of $3,500.

“Dad was an amazing man who tried to help as many people as he could,” said Mikaylah Stone, who is organizing the account. “He was a wonderful person and loved each and every one of you.”
