Investigation underway into nightclub shooting involving Sam Houston student-athlete

Huntsville Police (HPD) are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday, resulting in one individual sustaining injuries.

Police received a call regarding a shooting in the parking lot of the Jolly Fox nightclub shortly before 2 a.m.

Officers responded to the scene and discovered a man in the parking lot who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported by helicopter to Conroe, where he is currently in critical but stable condition.

University leaders from Sam Houston have released a statement regarding the incident that took place on November 24th involving a non-traveling squad student-athlete.

The incident occurred off-campus, and the SHSU Police responded to the scene to assist the Huntsville PD. The Huntsville Police are leading the ongoing investigation and will handle any further inquiries.
