Police have announced that the mother of the young girl who was reported as ‘missing’ in Illinois two weeks ago has been arrested in Wisconsin.

At 6:07 am on Thursday, Jan. 16th, Princess Ilunga, a 37-year-old woman, made a distressing call to the Rock Island Police Department. She reported that her car had been stolen from in front of her residence. What made this situation even more alarming was the fact that her 4-year-old child, Blessing Aoci, was inside the vehicle when it was taken.
Ilunga informed dispatchers that his vehicle was stolen from the 1300 block of 14th 1/2 ST while it was left running, with Aoci seated in the back seat. Fortunately, the vehicle was recovered around 6:24 a.m. in the vicinity of 8th ST and 15th Avenue.
According to Chief McCloud, the charges related to the abduction of Blessing, a 16-year-old boy, will be dropped as five individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.
An 18-year-old named Jaron Bailey-Harris has been taken into custody and faces charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Furthermore, authorities have apprehended four underage individuals for their involvement in the possession of a stolen vehicle.

Warrant For Illinois Mother Filing False Police Report
Princess Ilunga, the mother of Blessing, has been issued a warrant for filing a false police report. Although it is true that the car was stolen, Ilunga resorted to lying and even compelled her seven children to lie to the police officers as well.
Filing a false police report in Illinois is a Class 4 felony there that may result in a fine of up to $25,000 and a minimum of one year in jail.
Wisconsin Police Arrest Illinois Mother
On Thursday, January 30, 2025, at around 5:02 p.m., the Rock Island Police made an announcement regarding the arrest of Ms. Ilunga in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. She was apprehended following a traffic stop conducted by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The Wisconsin State Patrol pulled over the vehicle due to a suspended registration and an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Ms. Ilunga (born on November 3, 1987) was the driver. She was subsequently arrested due to an outstanding warrant.
Ms. Ilunga had her seven children with her in the vehicle when she was pulled over. The police later brought the children to the Lake Mills Police Department so they could be taken care of until their father, Richard Aoci, could make arrangements. Mr. Aoci arrived at the police department around 9:53 p.m. and took custody of the children.
Currently, Ms. Ilunga is being detained at the Jefferson County Jail while awaiting extradition to Illinois.
