The victim has been identified by deputies as Amanda Elderkin, aged 35, Jason Elderkin, aged 41, and Julieanne Afman, aged 57.

Sgt. Calbert Gillett stated that Julieanne is Amanda’s mother and she is married to Jason.

Deputies received a report of three deceased individuals on a houseboat at the marina around 3 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they discovered a running generator inside the boat.

During the winter months, stoves, furnaces, and generators are commonly used for heat. However, it’s important to note that carbon monoxide, which is an odorless, tasteless, and colorless gas, can be emitted from these sources.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident, although it is not believed to be suspicious.
